Ses Variades Promenade or Sunset Strip

The Ses Variades Promenade in San Antonio, also known as the ‘Sunset Strip’, offers one of Ibiza’s most popular sunset views.

This long pedestrian walkway runs along San Antonio’s town centre, from the port area to the northern tip of Caló d’es Moro beach. It’s known for its array of internationally renowned terraces and venues that fill up with tourists in the late afternoon, all gathering to the sounds of chill-out music to ‘capture’ the island’s best sunset. Space Eat & Dance, Café del Mar, Monkey Ibiza, Golden Buddha, Café Mambo, and Mint Lounge Ibiza are some of the unmissable spots. You can dance to top DJs, have a bite to eat, or enjoy a cocktail.

Caló des Moro

Following on from the Ses Variades promenade, you’ll find one of Ibiza’s best beaches, famous for its stunning sunsets: Caló des Moro beach.

This small, easily accessible beach is very close to San Antonio’s town centre. It’s a popular spot with a wide range of amenities, including sunbed and umbrella rentals, showers, paddleboat hire, and even accessible facilities for those with reduced mobility. Just a few metres from the beach, you’ll find several bars, terraces, and restaurants where you can watch the sunset, with the bay of San Antonio and the island of Sa Conillera as a picturesque backdrop.

Cap Blanc

In the northern part of San Antonio lies Cap Blanc, an aquarium and marine species recovery centre. This space features a natural cave that was once used as a lobster nursery.

Situated in a stunning natural setting, this spot is perfect for watching the sunset, with Sa Conillera island and other nearby islets on the horizon. There’s also a small beach bar at the aquarium where you can grab a snack or a refreshing drink.

Punta Galera

Punta Galera is a truly special place. This cove on a rocky peninsula will amaze you with its beautiful surroundings.

Accessible only on foot, this beach consists of stone terraces that form various levels above the sea. Although it’s not the most comfortable beach for swimming and sunbathing, it’s one of the best places to enjoy tranquillity as the sun sets over the horizon.

It’s worth noting that Punta Galera has no services, and many come here to meditate, practise yoga, or sunbathe freely.

Other fantastic sunset spots in Ibiza can be found at Cala Gració and Cala Gracioneta, two quiet, family-friendly beaches with a wide range of services. Also, at Cap Negret, located just outside San Antonio’s town centre, you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of Sa Conillera island, Cap Nunó, and Sa Foradada as the sun goes down.
