The best museums in Ibiza
A good option for rainy days is to visit some of the best museums on the island, most of them concentrated in the old part of the city of Ibiza. The island has a rich historical, archaeological and artistic heritage that is worth discovering.
One of the museums that we recommend is the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACE), a beautiful building that is located near the city wall, at the height of the port, and where you will always find an interesting exhibition.
It is also worth visiting the Madina Yabisa Interpretation Centre, a perfect centre for learning about and understanding the history of Dalt Vila, located a few metres from the Cathedral of Ibiza.
A few metres from there, you will find the Diocesan Museum of Ibiza, better known as the Cathedral Museum. You can access it from inside the Cathedral of Santa María de las Nieves since it occupies the chapter house and the sacristy.
Likewise, in the Puget Museum, installed in a noble house in Dalt Vila, you can enjoy a wide collection of oil paintings and watercolours by two Ibizan artists that depict scenes from daily life.
Shopping in the city of Ibiza
Although Ibiza is well known for its innumerable markets, perhaps they are not the most suitable option for rainy days. In this case, we recommend that you take a walk through the shops that you will find around the port and the neighbourhood of La Marina, located in the city of Ibiza. This area, with a wide variety of shops, is one of the liveliest for shopping. Here you will find everything, from clothing stores and select boutiques to jewellery or music stores, among many others. Going to the movies is always an excellent option to keep yourself dry on rainy Ibizan days while also enjoying moments of fun and entertainment.
