Circoloco New Years Day party at DC10 Ibiza
With the start of the new year comes one of the most awaited parties of the winter in Ibiza. The DC10 Ibiza club opens its doors so you can start the year dancing to the best electronic music of the moment.
The party takes place on the 1st of January, from six in the evening to six in the morning. A dance marathon which has become an institution on the island and includes a line-up of top DJs. You can’t miss it!
First swim of the year
Welcoming the new year with an early morning dip has become an option for the bravest across different places along the Mediterranean coast. And, of course, in Ibiza it couldn’t be any other way.
A good alternative is to take the first swim of the year at Ses Salines beach, a tradition that has been celebrated for many years now, regardless of whether it is sunny, cold or even raining.
This year, with a radiant sun and temperatures of around 20 degrees Celsius, the weather is in perfect harmony. So, put on your best bathing clothes and… Let’s soak!
Fairs and attractions in Ibiza town
One of the best plans to celebrate the arrival of the new year with the family is to go to the Christmas fair that you’ll find set up in Can Misses, in Ibiza Town, next to the Multicinemas.
With Ferris wheels, merry-go-rounds, roller coasters, bumper cars, various games and much more, it is the perfect place to have chocolate with churros, a waffle, a crepe, popcorn, crisps or candyfloss. It is well worth a visit as it is one of the biggest fairs on the island. Young and older alike will always find something to do there.
It is open every day from five in the afternoon until eleven at night. On Wednesdays you can also take advantage of interesting discounts on the children’s rides.
Last minute shopping at the Christmas market
If you need to do some last-minute shopping, you’ll find the Christmas market and its Christmas products on Ibiza’s main street, Vara de Rey.
You can go there on the 1st of January from five in the afternoon until ten at night. It is perfect for a stroll with a Christmas atmosphere.
Also, not far away is the artificial ice-skating rink, where the younger ones are sure to have a great time. It is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from eleven in the morning until half past one in the afternoon, and from half past four in the afternoon until nine in the evening.
Choose your best plan and celebrate the New Year in Ibiza as it should be done!
