Don’t know what to do during the month of June? Well… Ibiza is waiting for you! Summer has arrived, but not yet the crowds of people, so typical of the months of July and August. Now is the time to enjoy the best the island has to offer and, what’s more, in peace and quiet.

There are many leisure and entertainment activities that the island has to offer. Here we have prepared 4 cool and fun plans for June in Ibiza. Discover them below!

1. Picnic at sunset on Ibiza’s best beaches

Enjoying a picnic on the beach and watching the sunset is an irresistible option not to be missed. It is a good alternative to beat the heat and enjoy good company. Good food, good wine and stunning views are the perfect ingredients to end a splendid day.

Some of the best sunsets in Ibiza can be found at Benirrás cove, with a drumming show that will leave you speechless; Es Cavallet beach, located in the Ses Salines Nature Reserve; Cala d’Hort, from where you can watch the sunset in the Es Vedrá area; Sa Penya Esbarrada, next to a cliff with impressive views; or Cala Conta, with spectacular views of the islets of Sa Collinera, s’Illa d’es Bosc, s’Espartar or ses Bledes.

2. St. Juan’s Eve celebrations in Ibiza

The night of San Juan, from the 23rd to the 24th of June, is especially festive in Ibiza. One of the towns that lives it most intensely is Sant Joan de Labritja, where it is common to light bonfires that are skipped in order to leave all that is bad behind and be ready to receive the good that is to come.

At the open-air dance, in addition to the bonfires next to the church of Sant Joan de Labritja, you can enjoy music, dancing and, of course, the typical bunyols (fritters).

They are also celebrated in Ibiza town, where it is common for groups of young people to gather on the beach, next to their bonfires, to chat, dance and have fun.

3. Night-time shopping in Ibiza

Another of the recommended plans to enjoy in Ibiza during the month of June is “going to the night markets”. One of the best hippy markets is the Las Dalias flea market, located between the towns of Santa Eulalia and San Carlos, the birthplace of the hippies who came to the island in the 1960s. This flea market, with more than a hundred stalls, has managed to preserve its essence intact.

This market is held all year round, although its night-time version can be found during the months of June, July, August and September, on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 pm to 1 am.

4. Pride festivities in Ibiza

From the 10th to the 18th of June, the streets of Ibiza Town are filled with drag queens, musical performances, DJs, theatrical performances and much more.

This is one of the most important events to celebrate freedom and diversity, and countless visitors from all over the world flock to the event. Most of the festive events take place in the streets of the harbour area.

The highlight is the Gay Pride parade, which is held on the last day, or the special parties that take place in many of Ibiza’s clubs and discos.

As you can see, Ibiza in June offers you endless options for having a good time, whether you’re travelling alone, as a couple, with the family or with your group of friends. What are you waiting for to enjoy them?
