If you are looking for a beach in the city of Ibiza and want to enjoy a pleasant day out, we welcome you to Ses Figueretes beach. This beach gives its name to one of the city’s neighbourhoods and is made up of several inlets, separated by breakwaters, from the area of Es Salt de s’Ase, in Dalt Vila, to the area of Es Viver. A promenade, lined with bars, restaurants and hotels, runs along the entire beach.
It is worth taking a stroll at sunset, when the Ses Figueretes promenade is full of craftsmen and painters that give free rein to their creativity. There is also a street market which gives this area a great nightlife atmosphere.
A perfect beach for families
Ses Figueretes is a beach of fine white sand, located in an enclosed bay, protected from the waves and with calm waters.
Due to the shallow depth of its waters and its sandy seabed, it is an ideal beach for the youngest members of the family to enjoy a quiet swim. Furthermore, despite being a fairly busy beach, the atmosphere here is relaxed and family-oriented.
Kayak excursions and yoga sessions are organised here, especially during the lower season, as well as other free activities and concerts.
Patron saint festivities of Ses Figueretes in August
If you’re in Ibiza during the month of August, you can’t miss the Ses Figueretes patron saint’s festivities, featuring an original fireworks display. The rockets are launched from the Illa de ses Rates, an islet located just in front of Ses Figueretes, creating a magnificent visual effect.
A beach with all the necessary facilities
This urban beach stands out for having a wide variety of services available to visitors and tourists. On the promenade that runs along the beach you will find numerous restaurants, cafés and terraces.
The beach itself has a sun lounger and parasol rental service, so that you can enjoy greater comfort.
It also has accesses and wooden walkways for people with reduced mobility, a lifeguard service and offers you the possibility of taking part in the activities of the Municipal Sailing School.
In addition, a part of Ses Figueretes beach also has a swimming area set up for dogs, open all year round and with no time restrictions.
How to get to the beach of Ses Figueretes
Ses Figueretes beach stands out for being the only urban beach in the city of Ibiza. You can get there from Avenida de España. If you are coming from the airport or from the Sant Josep road, take the first street on the right and you will arrive directly at the beach. If you are travelling with your own vehicle, although it may be more difficult during the busiest months, you can find parking near the beach. If you prefer, you can also reach the beach by bicycle or by public transport – the choice is yours!
