Cala Vedella is the closest thing to a postcard beach. One of those that leave you speechless and pleasantly surprised as soon as you arrive. If you want to discover this corner of the west coast of Ibiza, get ready because its exceptional beauty will not leave you indifferent.
You will find this beach, with fine sands and transparent waters, a few kilometres from Sant Josep de Sa Talaia. It is a small natural harbour, protected from winds and tides, where it is common to find boats anchoring off the coast, impatiently awaiting the arrival of the sunset.
Surrounded by a fabulous natural landscape, it is perfect for those looking for a quiet and familiar atmosphere.
A fabulous natural environment
Cala Vedella is located in a sea inlet of calm waters that seems to form a real natural lagoon as it closes at both ends. This fact means that the beach is protected from currents and that its waters always remain calm.
The beach is quite wide, with fine sand and turquoise waters, clean and transparent, ideal for snorkeling or diving.
The natural environment surrounding the beach with its cliffs and scarcely urbanized pine forest is exceptional. It is worthwhile to stop at the viewpoint that you will find on the road to contemplate an excellent panoramic view of the whole area before going down to the beach. Once you start the descent to Cala Vedella, you can do nothing but enjoy the unbeatable views.
Cala Vedella, a beach with all services
To get to this beach, take the road from Sant Josep to Sant Antoni and follow the signs to Cala Vedella, Cala Carbó and Cala d’Hort.
Due to its favourable conditions, its beauty and its numerous services, it is one of the most frequented beaches in the area. There you can enjoy a rental service of umbrellas and hammocks, lifeguard, toilets, showers and numerous restaurants with typical Mediterranean food.
In addition, due to the calm of its waters, it is perfect for having fun doing various sports activities or with the pedal boats. You can also find a diving school at the beach.
A pleasant family atmosphere
Cala Vedella, with its beach huts at one end of the shore, is a favourite for families with children. This is due to its easy access and its calm, shallow and gently sloping waters, which make it perfect for children to play.
It also has many services and plenty of parking spaces. However, if you prefer, you can also get there by bus.
The beach is located in an area that is quite far away from the most populated towns. However, in its surroundings there is the tourist area of Cala Vedella with numerous hotels and flats that make it a very busy beach in the middle of summer. In spite of this, it is well worth enjoying this natural pool worthy of being on a magazine cover.
