Cala Conta, in Ibiza: a beach to fall in love with

Cala Conta, located in the municipality of San Josep, surprises all its visitors with the intense turquoise colour of its waters, as well as their clarity and transparency. So much so that it is highly frequented by tourists and residents alike, and it is also recognised as one of the best beaches in Ibiza. Would you like to visit it?

An idyllic landscape in Cala Conta

Perhaps it is because of its pearly sands or the blue of its waters, but the truth is that Cala Conta is a place that captivates. And it does so in such a way that everyone who visits it for the first time always comes back.

Playa Conta, located in front of the islets of sa Conillera, s’Espartar, s’Illa des Bosc and Ses Bledes, is made up of different coves, including Es Comte de Tramontana, Es Comte de Ponent and Racó d’en Xic, a spectacular setting that, whichever way you look at it, has become a true picture postcard image.

The beach, distributed in small coves separated by small rocky areas, is about 800 metres long. On the right side of the cove, you will also find an area of artificial platforms with a large natural pool that is protected from the waves.

The downside is that during the summer months it is so crowded that it is sometimes difficult to find a place to lay your towel.

What to do in Cala Conta?

In addition to its magnificent scenery, Cala Conta offers you an infinite number of entertainment options, whether you are travelling alone, with your partner, your friends or with the family.

The beaches of Es Comte de Tramontana and Es Comte de Ponent are the most frequented by families with children, as they have a wider range of services and ideal bathing conditions for the little ones.

On the other hand, Es Racó d’en Xic, a little further south, is the beach you should visit if you want to do nudism. It is semi-hidden and offers greater peace and quiet.

In any case, thanks to the transparency of its waters, any of the beaches of Cala Conta is perfect for snorkelling.
