In the northern part of Ibiza, you will find Cala de San Vicente, a beautiful beach, perfect for enjoying your family holidays. It is located a few kilometres from the town of San Carles de Peralta, known for being a meeting point for the hippy community.

Cala San Vicente, in a wide bay surrounded by pine trees, is perfect for you if you are looking for a quiet place that still retains all its charm. Would you like to visit it?

A long, quiet beach

Cala de San Vicente, also known as “Sa Cala”, is a fairly long beach with clean, transparent waters, located in the north-western part of Ibiza. In front of it, on the horizon, the silhouette of the islet of Tagomago stands out.

It is a quiet beach, surrounded by mountains that keep it protected from the summer winds. It is an extensive beach with a wide sandy area that rarely supports large crowds. Here you can enjoy the space and you won’t have any problems when it comes to placing your towel.

Its magnificent natural setting stands out with lush pine forests surrounding the entire cove that remains practically untouched today, despite the tourist development of the area. It is worth stopping for a moment to contemplate the contrast of the vegetation with the turquoise blue of the water – the closest thing to a picture postcard image!

On both sides of the cove there are still some traditional fishermen’s houses that remind us of what life was like in the past and ensure that the cove retains all its essence.

Services in Cala de San Vicente

In addition to its exceptional natural surroundings, this beach has a wide variety of services, such as restaurants, supermarkets, shops and diving schools, among others. It also has showers and wooden walkways that facilitate access to the sand.

Along the beach, there is a promenade where you will find a variety of terraces to have a drink or even restaurants on the beach itself where you can enjoy a wide gastronomic offer. Some of them have years of history and are known for the exquisite preparation of their typical Mediterranean dishes.

The beach also offers a sun lounger and parasol rental service, as well as equipment for water sports.

From Cala de San Vicente you can also take boat trips to the island of Tagomago or to the Cave of Es Culleram, among other places.

Cala de San Vicente is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet day at the beach, far from the more crowded beaches of the island. It is precisely thanks to its peaceful atmosphere that it is a favourite among families.

How to get to Cala San Vicente

Until well into the 1930s there was no road leading to the beach, which kept it quite isolated from the rest of the island. Nowadays, however, access is easy and you can reach the cove without any problem.

If you are coming from Sant Joan, take the PM-811 road; if you are coming from Santa Eulalia, take the PM-810 road and follow the signs to the cove.

The road leading to the beach, narrow and winding, runs through a mountainous area of great beauty. Before arriving, and on the right-hand side, you will find a viewpoint that will allow you to contemplate the beauty of this place first-hand.

Enjoy a day at the beach in Cala de San Vicente, without crowds, in peace and quiet and in a magnificent natural setting.
