With an extension of 572 km², Ibiza has 21 km of beaches. It is not hard to imagine that wherever you are on the island there is always a beach nearby.
The beaches on the island are noteworthy thanks to their unique beauty, the turquoise transparent water, which is due to the Neptune grass, recognised by UNESCO as World heritage.
The municipality of Ibiza has three town Beaches: Ses Figueretes, Talamanca and Platja d'en Bossa, the largest one on the island, which Eivissa shares with Sant Josep. Es Cavallet and Ses Salines in Sant Josep are two beaches with great natural beauty which attract numerous celebrities from all over the world every summer. In Sant Josep, there are other beaches such as Es Còdols, Sa Caleta, Cala Jondal, Cala Llentrisca, Cala d'Hort with the magic islet Es Vedra, Cala Vadella, Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa and the Platjes de Compte. Sant Antoni has places such as S'Arenal, Cala Gració, Punta Galera, Cala Salada, Caló d'es Moro, at the foot of Hotel Blau Parc and Platja des Pouet next to the Apartamentos La Sirena. In the north of the island, there are beaches such as Portixol and Cala Aubarca. In the municipality of Sant Joan, the beaches of Benirràs, Cala Xarraca, Es Port de Sant Miquel and the Cala de Sant Vicent manage to blend a family atmosphere with the traces of the hippie movement. In Santa Eulària, there are beautiful beaches such as Aigües Blanques, Es Pou del Lleò, S'Estanyol, Cala Mestella, Es Canar and Cala Llonga
